From Setagaya to Tsuru, old-fashioned but new way of living in the countryside

The Start of Life in Tsuru:

Living in Mother Nature is great. "It must be great", I knew it without any question. But I didn’t know how.

When our first daughter Haru was born, I thought, let’s try! I didn’t know how, but I started anyway.

We moved from Setagaya in Tokyo and started living here in Tsuru, Yamanashi. Then I realized that "This is it". next

"Let’s live."
What I meant by that, is let’s live in the ecological system.

Growing rice and rising children in a sense means to live in a lifecycle.

Growing vegetables and eating them according to the cycle of nature is living in the ecological system.

Using Tempura frying oil to run a car, breeding chickens for eggs, and building houses from waste materials means circulating their lives. next

I feel I am part of a system
where all sorts of things are living and circulating.

All things considered, living close to "The Rhythm of the Earth" is the most comfortable way.

It also applies to economic activities.

The system that the earth has created is very capable.
It has taken billions of years to create very lean efficient system with no waste.

It is far better than the system created by human beings.

I think that operating organizations would work more efficiently using the system of the earth. next

It also applies to our way of living.

In order to have an enriched whole life, I believe it’s better to use and grow what we have to hand rather than having things sent to us from far away.

"Why not join the cycle that the earth has created for us?

Because we live on the earth."
