Growing Vegetables in the Cycle of Nature:

In a field I can see that I am part of the ecological system.

My way of growing vegetable is without chemical fertilizer and agrochemical.
I put weeds grown around the field close to the roots of crops.

Then there will be fermentation and numbers of bacteria increase and insects gather. next

When I carefully look into the weeds,
I see insects and hear them singing.
I see insects eating the weeds.
The weeds and droppings of insects become fermented and fertilizer.
The crops absorb this nourishment and grow.

The ecological system is working right there.

I am happy that I can see the system of the earth working in a small scale.

The earth is too big to feel its scale.
But when I see it right in front of myself in the field,
I feel so much love for it.

And it is easy to create such an environment.
That is very important.

Thanks to nature. next

I put fertilizer on the ground, not into the ground.
I put compost fermented from chicken droppings on the ground.

The reason is that most of the nourishment in nature covers the ground first, it does not go into the ground.
Then there is no need to worry about rotten roots.

I was so happy when I recognized the system of the earth working around the roots of the crops.

To be supported by the power of nature,
it is essential to know the mechanism of the nature.

Observing with one’s own eyes and feeling is as important as researching in illustrated reference books.
It is also important to imagine the process of bare ground becoming a forest. next

This is just my own way of thinking; there are two kinds of roots.
One is to absorb nourishment and the other is for water.

The roots want nourishment to grow vertically and the roots absorb water to grow down.

Therefore, mixing strong fertilizer in to the ground or giving too much water cause the roots to go rotten.

It is important to feel what the crops want.

We will then be able to understand the dispensation and mechanism of nature.
